AMERICAN AND BRITISH SCI-FI THROUGH THE EYES AND EARS OF JAPAN.

One thing I've always dug over the years, was the Japanese versions of records (sonosheet) and models of American and British sci-fi. The cover and box art of these releases are near breathtaking. The respect for these shows was obvious, with the time and care making these products stand out with art better than their respective native country releases. To top it off, they even recorded Japanese versions of the theme songs like Batman, Thunderbirds, and Lost in Space. Here's some examples of the beautiful artwork and some catchy themes I hope get stuck in your head.
Lost in Space
Jupiter 2
The Chariot
Kaiju Dai Gahou "Monster Big Illustrations" some Harryhausen love!!
7th Voyage of Sinbad
The Black Scorpion
It Conquered the World and Day of the Triffids
Batman!!!!!
Captain Scarlet
Tarzan
Time Tunnel
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
Thunderbirds
Joe 90
UFO
Hey it's Please Don't Eat the Daisies!!!!

  1. I have BatManga and think it's great! I hope they're able to pull together more material for a second collection.
